America Needs Club Kids
July 01, 2025The Hartsville Boys & Girls Club is proud to be part of a bold new national campaign launching this summer: America Needs Club Kids. The campaign from Boys & Girls Clubs of America is built on a simple idea: the America of tomorrow will be shaped by the way we invest in kids today – and places like Boys & Girls Clubs open the door for a future generation who will propel our country forward.
For more than 165 years, Boys & Girls Clubs across the country have been opening doors for kids and teens — helping them succeed in school, build life skills, discover passions, and grow into confident leaders. Now, Clubs are taking that message nationwide with a campaign designed to inspire more people to get involved.
“At Hartsville Boys & Girls Club, we see firsthand how kids thrive when they’re given support, encouragement, and opportunities to lead,” said Neal Zimmerman, executive director of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee. “This campaign is about helping everyone understand that investing in young people isn’t just important — it’s essential to our future.”
America Needs Club Kids is a call to action to support. It reminds us that the success of today’s youth affects every one of us — and that Boys & Girls Clubs are key to preparing young people to become all they’re capable of, including being our next scientists, nurses, teachers, business leaders and community changemakers.
As part of the campaign, Hartsville Boys & Girls Club will be sharing stories of Club members and spreading the message locally and through social media.
No matter where you live, the message is clear: strong kids build strong communities. And America doesn’t just benefit from kids who grow up in Boys & Girls Clubs — America needs Club kids.
